For many years, I worked tirelessly at my career in advertising and marketing with much
success and reward. I pride myself on working hard, being engaged in the process and having fun while doing so. When I put my mind to something, consider it done.
I chose to realign my work world, with my life goals of purposeful, productive, meaningful and engaging work. I have been a DOG LOVER and DOG MAMMA all my life. My dogs are my kids and bring me much JOY. So, I left the corporate work world and cubicle behind and followed my heart.
I pride myself on hiring dog walkers and pet sitters who are animal lovers first and foremost. Del Mar Doggers team live in the areas we serve.
Our overnight pet sitters are college graduates, who work in the corporate world and love spending time with our owner's pets when they travel.
Our dog walkers are happy to have left the 9 to 5 and feel blessed to share time with all of our awesome pets.
Kate is one of our in home overnight pet sitters in North County San Diego.
For as long as she can remember, animals have been a large part of her life. She currently has a German Shepard Labrador mix named Buster, who she adores.
Kate has her bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies from San Francisco State University. She was born and raised in San Diego and is glad to be living here with our beautiful weather and beaches.
She has a passion in the care for animals and treats all of them like her own. She looks forward to being the best pet sitter for your animals too.
Amanda is one of our in home overnight pet sitters and dog walkers in North County Coastal San Diego.
She grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and had Golden Retrievers as a little girl. Being the only child she treated them like the brother she always wanted and took them everywhere.
She moved to La Jolla in middle school and had four cats up until she was 15, then she adopted Bodhi a half Australian Shepard and half Timber wolf. She currently lives in Del Mar with two black Labs named Mr. Hey and Abe.
Amanda loves running them in the mornings and evenings in the canyon behind where she lives. She also takes them to dog beach in Del Mar on the weekends and watches them fetch and play with all the other dogs. They always brighten her day!
She is an avid athlete and enjoys hiking, running, biking and swimming. And also loves to cook. She looks forward to pet sitting your pets and taking excellent care of them.
Judy is one of our small and large dog walkers and pet sitters in Del Mar.
She moved to Del Mar from North Carolina. She has been married for 34 years and is the mother of 3 grown children. She grew up in northern CA and went to SDSU, earning a degree in civil engineering in the 80's. She also has teaching credentials from UNC Capel Hill and is a lifelong musician.
For the past 27 years she lived in NC, raising her family, working in the engineering and education fields, while establishing a sustainable farm on her property.
She has served on many nonprofit boards in leadership and advisory positions in the fields of fine arts, health and human services, education and local farming.
She has spent considerable time around all kinds of animals, and is familiar with dog and cat behaviors. Her youngest daughter is staying at their farm and caring for the animals they could not bring with them to the west coast. She misses them and looks forward to dog walking or pet sitting your pets soon.
Rhonda is one of our North County Coastal dog walker and pet sitter connections in Del Mar and Carmel Valley. Rhonda moved to Del Mar with her family just over 5 years ago after living on the east coast. She is married and is the mother of 3 great kids; 2 daughters and 1 son.
Rhonda grew up in Los Angeles and also spent many years living in the Phoenix metro area. She studied at Arizona State University, where she earned a BA in English and an MBA as well.
Of all of the warm weather states Rhonda has called home (Arizona and Florida!) needless to say, San Diego is by far her favorite and she is especially grateful to call Del Mar home.
As the proud owner of a very active and very energetic Siberian Husky, Rhonda can be found at local dog parks, dog friendly hiking trails, and dog beach, with Torrey, her four-legged friend she considers her “4th child”.
Portia is one of our dog walker and overnight pet sitter connections. She is originally from Wisconsin, so naturally she was surrounded by many animals growing up, ranging from dogs to cows. Never a dull moment! She grew up with two cats and a dog, whom she loved very much. She remembers always making time to take Lulu (her American Shepard) on walks at night and to play with her cats, Blacky & Whisper each night before bed.
From her days in Wisconsin she has lived in 4 different states here in the U.S. and has found herself taking care of animals in each state. She loves it!
Portia currently lives with and takes care of a beautiful chocolate lab named Lucky, who is 8 years old this year. Most days they make it to the beach so Lucky can enjoy fetch in the sand and normally end the day snuggled up to each other on the couch. . . Ruff life?
Portia has a 10 year + background in customer service and currently works from home for a software company here in San Diego. In her free- time she loves working on new paintings, reading and running along the beach, as well as finding great new bakeries and cafes around the city.
Shawn is an Encinitas local and one of our dog walker and overnight pet sitter connections. When he is not walking beautiful doggies, he's working the bar at Pacifica Del Mar, hiking Torrey Pines, taking in live music or jogging the coast.
